I downloaded HOGALLEY for u9 and am getting this response from ClrMame:
Vs. Hogan's Alley [folder: hogalley]
wrong sha1: mds-ha4-1_2b_or_8b_e-1.bin [wrong: 7ce6c64d81a9626d0b34bdc0a2a28fee457ebcb1] [right: 65cfce87bb4e72f0c84ce5eff48985a38c3dfc4a]

The folks on the newsgroups are acting like it is something I am doing incorrectly with ClrMame. I don't believe so due to the fact that all other roms are reporting perfect.

Please advise.

BTW: ClrMame ROCKS !!

Same here. I believe the error is in the mame source with the wrong SHA1 value. From 81u9 diff file..

-	ROM_LOAD( "mds-ha.2b",  0x0000, 0x2000, CRC(7623e954) SHA1(65cfce87bb4e72f0c84ce5eff48985a38c3dfc4a) )

+	ROM_LOAD( "mds-ha4-1_2b_or_8b_e-1.bin",  0x0000, 0x2000, CRC(fc5a91ad) SHA1(65cfce87bb4e72f0c84ce5eff48985a38c3dfc4a) )

I realize there was a name change, but since the CRC changed, shouldn't the SHA1 change?

mame bug, already fixed for u10 or .82
