Of course not, since the name already exists in your rompath. Enable Scanner->advanced->move not renamed sets to backup.

Normally you can't fix checksum based errors. The files are normally bad and have to be redownloaded. The mentioned neogeo files however are fixable, since they can be converted to a different romformat which match the checksum. Turn on Scanner->checksum->run analysis + fix.
Btw....there is no fix checksum box, so you weren't able to enable it ;)
