Ok - then what about a different display message when that method is used? Being labeled as a corrupt zip isn't really accurate. Maybe include a blurb about unpack and repack using standard compression? Something along the lines of what you did for the old/new CHD's.

Again, I'm just trying to avoid future headaches from most people about this - because I'm sure at some point there'll be some peeps who'll download these max compressed zips until the cows come home and can't understand why CMP sees them as corrupt (especially if they use the Test option in WZ and it checks out OK).

sf2ex2p was the one rom in the latest 82u3 update posted on a.b.e.m. that was max compressed. I'm sure there will be more in the future.
