That's perfectly normal. The import works fine. MESS has a very messy (ha ha) setexport which a lot of errors in it. Like not exisiting parentreferences etc.
Current ClrMamePro now shows prompts for all kind of not-importet sets/roms/whatever. The import itself hasn't changed and always was that messy for mess. Ignore the prompts...simply click OK for all appearing messages or set settings->datfile errors->show none.
