Maybe you can already do this with ClrMamePro, and I just don't know about it:
It'd be great if you could prepare a list of the games you didn't care about, so that ClrMame could remove them when it showed lists of your missing games. That way, you could really see which games you were "missing" (that is, games you might actually want), rather than having to weed through a list of ALL missing games each time.

There are several options to hide missig sets. For example you can disable the sets you don't have from being scanned/rebuilt/etc. Settings->Sets. There are options to only include the available sets and an editbox which understands fnmatch() syntax.
You can also simply disable "view->Show all missing sets" in the scanner popup menu before you do a scan.
