Well...you haven't setup the rompaths correctly.
Always remember the 2 supported scan modes:

rompath\setname\rom 1...rom n for unzipped roms
rompath\setname.zip for zipped ones.

Take Good5200 for example: There are 2 dats...one for single-folder collection, one normal one. The normal one means that each set got its own set definition. So if you keep the files zipped, you have to zip them setwise, if you keep them unzipped you need subfolders for each set.

If you're using the single_folder dat, you can keep all roms zipped up in 5200Ren.zip (because 5200Ren is the setname mentioned in the datfile) or all unzipped in a subfolder called 5200Ren. The rompath has to be set to the path where 5200Ren is in.

Well...to summarize it: Take a look at the above mentioned scanmodes and set the rompath wisely. Also take a look at the dats setname.
