Under the Advanced Scanning Options, what does the following option do?

Show 'baddump' ROMs and Inverted CRCs

What is a 'baddump' ROM and Inverted CRC? When enabled, there are a few ROMs that is listed in the Scan Results. I tried to resolve the problem by re-downloading the ROMs, but they continue to be listed.
