Just as an FYI metric, I ran through a clean scan of u5. Previously I was finishing around 40 seconds. W/ the .chds out in the \roms directory now I finished at 8 minutes, 23 seconds. It's taking about 10 seconds per CHD.

This is on my AMD64 3200+, NTFS 7200rpm 160GB Maxtor.
