Always use the rebuilder to add new files to your collection....Well...fix missing does the same but is slower and setdependent, while the rebuilder is filebased and will rebuild anything it finds. No idea how you currently added new sets, but I usually do this when a new mame is out:

- do a full scan with all fix options enabled
- use drag&drop (this internally uses the rebuilder) to add the new stuff
