hi

i will save a fix dat file and nothings happens..i can select a file to save..but clrmame saves no dat.

anyone has the same problem ? and know a solution for this ?

Well..first of all you have to do a scan. And the scan has to list missing and/or wrong sized and/or wrong crc32/md5/sha1 roms. Then you can rightclick->save->fixdatfile. Chose a filename, be sure you have enough free diskspace (well...the fixdats are usually very small) and save it. After that you should have a fixdat which you can share with your friends.

thx roman for the fast answer..:)
but i will do that after my scans...i can select fix datfile and the filewindow opens and i can select a name to save the dat...but clrmame saves no fixdat file.

hmm...weird...noone reported that problem yet...and I tested it here and it works fine. did you scan with 'sets' and 'roms' enabled? Is something listed in the window? Like missing roms, etc? Maybe something goes wrong while writing the dat to the medium. Check your write-rights, diskspace, etc.

No idea why it doesn't work for you....

I found the error...i delete the cmpro.ini...and now
at next start from the programm ... i can save fixfiles.

Just to add to this, I'm using v3.06, and this just happened to me as well. Seth's method of deleting the cmpro.ini fixed the problem as well (I kept a copy of the .ini, if you'd like to take a look at it Roman).

The problem is exactly as Seth describes, you type a filename to create a fixdat, click ok and nothing happens, no prompt for system name, nothing.
