Hi,

I'm a newbie with CLRMamePro so sorry if this is a dumb question.

I'm trying to import a file with info on my virtual pinball tables, and export it as a CLRMamePro .dat file so I can import it into Mamewah.

I have two different kinds of files I can import. One is a .dat file from vplauncher's website. It has about nine categories seperated by \'s, and two \\'s between each table entry.

Another possibility is an .xml file with three categories (name, manufacturer & year).

I was wondering, can I import either of these file types, and output a CLRMamePro .dat file?

ClrMamePro's profiler loads datfiles in MAME's -listinfo syntax and in -listxml syntax. You can change some keywords in engine.cfg to support similar formats like outputs from MESS/RAINE/etc.
ClrMamePro's settings export button will export the currently loaded data in -listinfo syntax.

The syntax of MAME's romlist output. -listinfo (used in older MAME's is the common datfile format....-listxml outputs an xml file. You can convert the xml file to a standard datfile with xml2info (part of the official mame package). ClrMamePro supports both (xml + dat) natively...no need of converting.
