Use Logiqx's mamediff or scan with cmrpo and save a fix-datfile.

*edit* well...the upper is on datbasis only.
if you want to see which sets were touched, you can do it this way: assuming you have a complete OLD collection. Set all fileattributs of all rom zipfiles to -a (attrib *.zip -a). Then scan/fix/rebuild/update/whatever to the NEW mame. Be sure settings->preserver archive date/time is DISABLED. All new/changed sets will now have +a fileflags and a rather current date/time stamp.
