Ok that's what I figure what you wanted, but more simplified than to edit all the extra text. Well 2 things can be done then.
1. Do as an option request, as you did, to Roman and maybe he will add it to his "To do" list and add it in the future.
2. Use Romcenter to make your list and then use ClrMame to scan the final product.
I used to use both of them cause I like how Romcenter has the Tree Explorer view and combined my Roms. But after using it for some time I notice it was corupting some files and not reading everything right. Then Roman gave me a tip on adding new Roms and I find it easier to use now in conjuction with ZipMax.
