Well...the logs didn't really help me. Nothing really bad happens at the places the application seemed to crash. While scanning could be caused by a zip operation on a corrupt zipfile. Turn on settings->zipsettings->full structure blabla. Well..the crash at startup is rather impossible to guess...It seems to read version.ini but it doesn't go on reading the engine.cfg what should happen next. In between these two functions is nothing really crash-able in my code.

Anyway...your exe file works fine here so I suspect a weird system related problem. That could be anything from damaged or replaced dlls to hardware problems like a too hot CPU, a corrupt IDE cable or other tasks interfearing. Did you try a clean cmpro install on the portable?

Noone else (and CMPro releases are downloaded about 20000 times a moth) reported such kind of crash yet....currently I have no idea. Sorry to say that.
