I personally don't like the way goodx can tell you a rom's ok, and cmp can tell it's not.
It's mostly to do with header information. Truth is- cmp is the absolute, no bullshit auditing tool that we should all be using, but stripping headers from roms requires the use of some pretty complicated programs and most opt for goodtools.
Some of the new good tools now have a facility to remove headers, so future cmp / goodtool scans should agree with each other. Time will tell.
Roman- I think people like good dats because they like the idea of using one auditing facility for all roms and formats.
