I noticed that the cpanel dat is telling me I have a file (outrun.png)with an incorrect crc, yet the set hasn't been updated, and it was fine in .91. Anyone know how this could have happened? I've drap n dropped the missing file directly from maws and it still reads it's wrong.

Also, the samples dat is telling me that two Frog wavs have incorrect crc32s. However, with the dat created from mame32 .92, there is no report of samples error.
Should they not agree with each other?

I've also noticed that CMP takes a long time to scan the icons (which I keep in one big zip). I don't remember having to wait so long in other versions.

Any and all help greatly appreciated!

Thanks again

Yes. The outrun sets have been renamed with .92. Besides I made a note on my newspage that you might have to double the toutrun.png. Usually people rebuilt their files or use fixmissing and so they don't have to care, since both will magically create the missing file for you.

No, since a direct MAME import only gives you sample names. No checksums, no sizes. That's why a real sampledat was made. They match the samples which are available at mame.net's sampledownload page...and you can see, the frogs sampleset has been updated.

Scanning icons takes 1 second here. Fixing names etc inside it may take long, since it's one zip with thousands of little files. The zipactions will slow it down....a normal scan with no errors takes about one second though.

Thanks fo the swift reply!

So- to rebuild the cpanel set, would this work:

copy toutrun, rename it outrun, then use the new outrun to replace the old one?

I can't seem to get CMP to work it for me:
cpanel [folder: cpanel - size: 390mb]
wrong name: H:\MAME\cpanel\cpanel\outrun.png [wrong: outrun.png] [right: toutrun.png] [not fixed]
wrong size: outrun.png [wrong: 416717] [right: 355752] [CRC32: 0xa8e4fa53] [not fixed]

How do I resolve this, I was a little confused by the fix only missing and stuff!

thanks again!

Rebuild the set or use fix missing (no need for adding addpaths)
(besides scanner->advanced->deeper check for fixable missing files tells you that you already have the file).

iirc the renames were outrun->outrun2, outruna->outrun...don't remember.....the cpanels got the same pngs for one turbo outrun and one outrun set....

Yeah- I just got outruna and renamed it outrun. Thanks very much for sticking with me on this.

I've still to come to grips with the rebuilder after all this time!

Many thanks!
