Hi Roman,
I'll try to explain a situation that I face lately very often.
i.e, I have a complete set of Visual Pinmame Tables, a new dat is released and a bunch of needed files are posted on the usenet, so, I...
a) Launch Clrmame and "update" dat b) Scan my (before) perfect set (Clrmame renames/deletes, etc) c) Rebuild from downloaded stuff d) Fastscan (hoping again a perfect set)
...but...very often are a bunch of misses that I end having on another set (i.e led.ttf etc), I search with an editor the datfile for a file with the same crc I'm missing and manually update my sets, or make a new bunch of files for the rebuilder.
Of course I know that with a full rebuild this will be different, but it takes time, and maybe you could add anywhere (on the result window, rebuilder, I don't know) an option to "Find and rebuild missing from Rompath", because Clrmame sure knows where to find (or not) that redundant files.
I know that now you are a bit far from development, but maybe you could append this at the bottom of your "todo" list.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who will be very grateful if you end up adding this to Clrmame.
Thank you very much.
Sapin.
