Fastscan is not working. Error says do a Scan operation first, even when I have already done one. Anyone else having the same problem?

Works fine here. Someone (maybe you) reported that behaviour with Logiqx's mame 93 changes datfile...and ONLY with that datfile.
Fastscan first looks if the crc32 of the datfile matches the one in the fastscan file (cmpro fastscanfolder), if they don't match or the file doesn't exist, it will request a scan.

So...clean your cache, be sure you got writing-rights on the cmpro fastscanfolder (and enough free diskspace). Maybe removing the .fsc files there helps you too.

I scanned several dozens dats with 3.63...fastscan always worked.

I did a clean install, and it seems to work fine now. Another weird thing is after I click on add dat, it crashes after a couple of seconds. If I am quick enough to select a datfile, it is fine, but if I take more than a couple of seconds, cmpro disappears. It has been doing this for a while, might have started when I upgraded to sp2?

Sounds weird, since the file-picker dialog is just one system function I'm calling. All the selection there is handled by the OS itself. SP2 shouldn't be the cause for that. I guess something else is wrong with your system....no idea what though.
