Roman -

You said earlier that you would let me try out a beta version of ClrMAME with full path support so I could figure out this 'romset exists in various rompaths' error I've been getting. Is it ready?

mailed...it's the old build...my current build is a bit different...but maybe that old one already helps to find the cause of the issue.

Indeed it has. I'm not sure what's going on, but the files are EVERYWHERE. I've kept the CHDs on a separate drive, in their own directory alone, and I found almost all the files in question in that directory. There, and in the cassette directory as well.

I don't have an explaination for it. I use sysdefault paths and addpaths when updating the sets. Why it would choose to place them in the CHD directory is beyond me.

And the sysdefault paths point to the correct paths? And scanner->adv->fix missing uses sysdefpaths (or something) is enabled...And rebuilder->use sysdefpaths is enabled, too?

Well...at least you found them ;) don't know what happened in the past. Play a bit...maybe it creates files there again. If so, let me know.

Yep! I have used the addpath function as well. The sysdefault paths are defined accurately.

I shall. Paxis.

PS - You should include the directory function in the next release. Without it, I might have never found the files, as I was only looking on my ROMs drive.
