Can't repeat that here.

Just tried it with 2 profiles, one pointing to C:\CMP\mamepp.exe and one to a different exe in G:\MAME\MAMEPP.exe.

Works fine. It always reads the correct mamepp.exe.
No idea what's wrong on your side. It always asks to reget the data since the exes are different. You can recheck the settings when selecting the profile. Under "Exe-path" you can see the used path.

If you can't figure out the problem on your side, you can send me the belonging *.cmp and .dat files in cmpro's settings and datfile folder folder.

For exe-based datfiles, the full pathname is stored in a little pseudo .dat file...so you can check it there, too.
