Ah...now I get a clue 8) You don't need the rebuilder to find 95 roms which may be needed for 96. Use the scanner's fixmissing option. It will automatically know if old roms can be used to fill in new ones. So the normal "update process" is like this:
- Load a new dat. - go to the scanner, enable all fix options and run a scan
After that you should only got missing files listed. Maybe some bad checksums as well...maybe some not fixed wrong sized roms.
So basically you're at a point where you have to bring in your newly collected roms. You can use fixmissing in combination with addpaths for this.....but you can also use the rebuilder (my prefered choice). The rebuilder destinationfolder has to point to your old collection, the rebuildersourcefolder points to the newly collected roms. Hit rebuild and it will scan the source folder with the new files and adds them to your collection. You don't even have to go to the rebuilderscreen. Once the rebuilderdestination is correctly setup, you can drag&drop files directly in the scanresults option to add them. With the option "fastscan after dragndrop" in the popupmenu you can even allow an automatic fastscan afterwards.....
So you got fixed collection on disk and add the new stuff by dropping it...easy 8)
