I'm not sure what that would accomplish, the file is not the issue. This latest test was creating a file called test.txt and typing Brian into it. Then I did a Dir2Dat on that and rebuilt from that created dat. Worked fine from HD, crashed from CD or DVD.

I guess it must either be my system (XP SP2) or my burning software (NTI CD & DVD Maker Gold). Either way it only seems to be me having the issue, and it's very easy to get around, so I'm not all that worried about it :)
