The change date flags in settings are used whenever a set is changed. This includes removing and renaming files inside the archive. I doubt I will restrict this behaviour to "only when a file was added, replaced" or add another option just to satisfy zipmax users 8) The current way is more logical than some "change it if it changes, but don't change it when these and these things happened". Besides clrmamepro supports mixed modes, keeping zipped and unzipped parts of the sets, so it might happen a rom IS rename and rezipped, meaning there is a chance zipmax find some bytes to recompress...
