It's the windows network/SMB....it's slower than snail mail...you can't do it via FTP, what would be a bit faster ;) No time to do a linux system...network on that is way faster...
HD is UDMA66 IBM, CPU is a P4 2.4 Ghz, ...
Well..I got SHA1 enabled...it's not that fast...I don't trust CRC32...
