If you untick unneeded and name and keep missing enabled, you will do a normal missing scan. But files which got a wrong name will marked as missing. That's not really a problem since you can't enable unneeded now. As soon as you enable unneeded, the name check is reenabled as well.
The fact that name is re-enabled on entering the scanner is based on the 2nd usage of the check options after a scan. They can be used to hide/show scanresults by toggling the belonging check buttons. For example your scan got a lot of wrong named files listed, you can simply disable 'name' and they will be hidden from the tree.
