SubjectOccasionally, ZIPS are skipped and won't rebuild Reply to this message

Roman,

I have an issue which may or may not be a problem with ClrMAME (or the zlib stuff for that matter).....

I have half a dozen zips which I want to rebuild into a collection. One of the zips is skipped although it contains files needed by the collection. If I unzip and drag the contents of the WinRAR window into the scan results window the files are rebuilt fine. Similarly, if I extract the contents of the zip to a folder and rebuild the results are fine.

If I re-zip files the results are fine. It's as if the zip format is non-standard in the eyes of the zip engine used but is acceptable to WinRAR.

This has happened on several occasion with several different zip files - all of which show no signs of corruption.

I cannot comment on the method used to create the aforementioned zips in the first place though ;-)

Thanks for your time....

Cheers,
Terra Cresta

clrmamepro's zipscanner is strict. Enabling settings->zipsettings->full structure scan will make it even stricter.

clrmamepro supports the standard zip format only. No cloned archivetypes which use different header ids etc are allowed.

I reckon it's the latter of the two. There's more to a zip file than just having a .zip extension.

Thanks for the quick reply.
