Hi,
in the first: Thank you for saving a little bit of my lifetime ;-)

I'm using CMP now for some years, but in the last month there has been a little change in the community: Torrentzip.

I think you know it. It's based on the the free zlib-libary (as I remember). Its main goal is to produce identical files on all platforms for "torrenting" them. Its fast, but didn't save the last bits.

But, is space a real problem today?! I don't think so.

So my question is: Is it possible to implement a switch for using Torrentzip as an alternative?

Actually all Torrentzip users first check their collection with CMP and afterwards the torrentzip-process has to be started to get the same checksums...

greets

This won't happen. Not only but definetly because of legal aspects. Besides it would get very complicated to provide the same zipfile order/timestamps/archive bits etc (all the rules you need for getting the same hashvalue) in all parts of clrmamepro. The single fix operations work on parts of zipfiles, sometimes even without decompressing. You'd spend a lot of time in reconstructing the zip. It's far beyond what torrentzip does...which simply creates a file in a given order once.
