I would like to suggest another simple thing. Please add the correct system for each parent/clone at the report screen (the example is on uppercase):

Eggor [SYSTEM: STANDARD - folder: eggor - size: 25kb]
missing rom: 4.bin [size: 2048] [CRC32: dc805be4] [SHA1: 18604b221cd8af23ff8a05c954a42c3aa9e1948a]

Ok, but donīt you think this new feature deserves to be default instead of an option? The MAME ROM convention is SYSTEM -> PARENT -> CLONE.

Other important thing: when I separated the roms, I noticed that the STANDARD sets are, by default, pointed to the '/' directory. This causes a great problem, because inside these '/' directory we will have the other systems directories and the CHD directories too. Do you agree with me that this is a great mess?
So, instead of '/' directory for the STANDARD sets, I pointed it to a new 'standard' directory. My MAME ROMS becomes:

/roms
------/standard
------/kinst
------/kinst2
------/neogeo
------/pgm
------...

Now itīs good!

Thanks again Roman!

No. *edit* well...in fact I turned it on by default but of course the look can still be selected by the popupmenu view settings.

There is no default for any rompath. You have to set them up in either Settings (for rompaths) or Systems (for assigned sysdefpaths).
