I lost roms to a virus and started back out with 103 and the rerst were pre merged packs ex( 103 to 103u4 merged roms) So I couldnt figure this clrmame out. I never had a problem running software but I just dont get this even after reading the somewhat of a tutorial. So I copied and pasted the roms into the rom folder containing 103. My question is did I mess them up doing this? Can I just copy and paste them into my rom folder and overwrite if 2 same exist?

- load a datfile in the profiler (or use a mame binary there under 'create...')
- setup rompaths in settings
- go to the scanner and hit scan

That's so tough?

Anyway...usually people don't do anything manually when it comes to add sets to their collections. They either use the rebuilder or scanner (+ fix missing).

I can't tell you if you mess up your sets by your manual overwrite since I don't know what the zipfiles did contain. That's what the scanner is for...it will tell you what you miss and list possible issues.
