SubjectDaytona2 Fix Unneeded Reply to this message

If I have 'Fix Unneeded' checked when I run ClrMAME, the daytona2 set comes up with mpr20887.ic18 flagged as unneeded. When it tries to do the backup it fails and says the file won't be removed. Ihave checked that the back directory exists and is properly specified. If I manually delete the file, ClrMAME wants it back in. What's up with this rom file?

Maybe a bug in the datfile. Be sure you used an official MAME binary to get the data from. Clear the cache in the profiler and reget the data. Since I am currently on holiday I can't test it. Send me a mail about which datfile you used (or which binary) and maybe a screenshot of the used datfiles (with checksums) or maybe the zipfiles themselves.

*edit* ok...back from holiday....well...I looked at the set and the mentioned file IS needed. If cmpro marks them as unneeded, something is wrong with the file. Maybe it got a different checksum and you haven't enabled the checksum option or something else. So - if removed manually - it will ask for it, since it's needed. The removal of the unneeded one could have different reasons. Bad zipfile (maybe that's the reason in the first case anyway), or out of diskspace on in the backup folder or anything similar.
What you can try is to turn on settings->zipsettings->full zipstructure scan and test if the zip is decompressable.
