Although the fix for downloading DATs via the profiler's www mode works flawlessly, I am still unable to get any updated DATs listed when refreshing my sites. When I hit refresh, it looks as if everything is working correctly, but when it finishes, the only DATs listed are the old ones. I tried deleting the wwwcache file, but then not even the old DATs were listed any longer. The only way I've found to fix this is to just re-add the site, although it is easier to just download the DAT manually :p

Any ideas on this one, hopefully it's as easy to fix as the last :)

first of all...it's Linux...what do you expect 8)
Second of all, check which hide/show options you've set. Generally the wwwprofiler lists all profiles of the used xml minus the ones hidden by the show/hide options.

I expect nothing -- I fix what I can, and hope what I can't will be ;)

I usually hide everything except updated datfiles, although I have unchecked the other three hide/show options just to verify that no other DATs were downloaded.

I have also disabled my firewall as well as SELinux, all to no avail.

Any other ideas?

Found out what's wrong...
CToolTipCtrl::UpdateTipText seems to cause weird refreshing issues under WINE. Should be fixed in the next release.

Seems that AfxMessageBoxes are skipped in Wine (ok..under VMWare and Knoppix) too.....so again...it's definetly not recommended to use WINE.

Excuse my ignorance, but would you please explain what impact this would have, as I am unaware of what AfxMessageBoxes does.

Also, if using WINE is such a bad idea, how else would you recommend I run ClrMame on Linux?
I could just use my Windows laptop to update my sets via my Samba network, but if you could recommend a better way I would appreciate it :)

It's a messagebox prompt...used for all kind of user related actions..Yes / No prompts etc..Will check if I can make them work, too.

Well...the only option is to use Windows 8) or wait till I finished a portable rewrite...don't expect anything before 2010 8)
