Okay, so I've got all my roms unzipped in d:\roms and I want to audit them, but when I'm about to do what I think I'm supposed to do, it gives me a pop up message asking something like "Are you sure..." and I cancel it, because I don't want to mess everything up. Can I get some help please?

Here's what I'm trying to do

1.) I want to rename them so that all the folders and rom names are correct

2.) I want to move (or delete?) any of the rom folders that are bad

3.) Once I know that all the roms are perfect, I want to zip them back up

I thank you guys in advance

well...first of all...why do you keep the roms unzipped and want to check them unzipped to rezip them later? There is no need for it. clrmamepro works perfectly with zipfiles.

Anyway...don't forget, you got 2 official storing methods:
rompath\setname\file 1 ... file n (for unzipped sets)
rompath\setname.zip (for zipped sets)

The rest does cmpro for you.
If you get a message like "the following rompaths don't contain any valid set", you probably store the set wrong (see above) or all are wrong named...then the name fix will fix that for you.

....or you can use the rebuilder to create "something valid" out of your mess.

Nothing happen to your files. Unneeded stuff is backup'ed by default, the rest gets fixed.

Anyway...I advice you to read the documentation and follow one of the tutorials.

So if I just run the rebuilder, it will do everything for me?

Please read the docs and you know what the rebuilder does. The scanner does everything for you. The rebuilder takes anything valid (file-wise) from a given source folder and creates it under its correct name in the set destination folder.

Again...why don't you follow/read one of the tutorials?
