clrmamepro 3.89 (07-Jun-2006)

* added: zip option OEM/ANSI conversion. This enabled/disables conversion of non standard filenames in zipfiles. Keep it enabled as long as you don't use any non standard characters. Remember, conversion results depend on your currently used codepage. If you got problems renaming roms, you should toggle this option. This is a per-profile setting and enabled by default.
* misc: zip option 'mark useless zip structs as unneeded" is now a global setting
* misc: unneeded diskimages will be listed as 'diskimages' instead of file/folder
* misc: diskimage + unneeded detects unneeded diskimages even if 'roms' isn't selected (official chd storage method only)
* misc: when using sysdefpaths, chds optionally have to use the sysdefpath now, too (e.g. btchamp should be in a subfolder of the konamiGV assigned path) Added a scanner advanced option for that. Use it in combination with the warning about wrong sysdefpaths option there.
* misc: changed the layout in scanner advanced a bit
* fixed: FolderBrowser can trash memory when COM library was closed 'too early'
* fixed: some OEM/ANSI conversion can cause DOUBLE FILEENTRY IN ZIPFILE issues
* fixed: toggling fix-all toggles the tree which isn't needed
* fixed: previously loaded setselection is falsely applied to next loaded profile

erm....I haven't changed anything for that.
The minimizing differs for the profiler at startup or run later....since one time the main window already exists and the other time it isn't...

hmmmmmmmmm, ok......I also noticed that when in the Scanner, if I minimize the settings window then the Scan Results, it would then hide to the taskbar. That seemingly stopped for a while, but now it seems to be doing it again (probably just my imagination...) Then I noticed the Profiler went to the taskbar when I minimized it today & assumed you'd changed something in that area. :)

I see what you are saying though....if I load up the program, it goes to the Profiler straight away. If I minimize at this point, it doesn't leave the 'MDI child minimzed' window at the bottom left of the screen, but it does do that after I've loaded a datfile & go back to the Profiler.

I guess there's no chance of having an option that changed this behaviour so that the Profiler always goes to the taskbar without leaving that small 'window' left at the bottom of the screen? That would involve unloading the 'button window' when going back to the Profiler I assume? Then when closing the Profiler it would close CMP instead of going to the 'button window'.....

Probably too hard, but no harm in asking I guess ;)

Well..the main reason behind all of that is that the 6-button module selector is the main window...which always gets minimized to the taskbar. All other windows are childs.....and childs get minimized the way you remember from old windows versions...as small windows bottom left...

Things for the rewrite I guess 8) ....or maybe I find some time after my holiday to look at it again.
