would it be possible to have a cdrom tickbox put in the what you want to scan section for the new amiga cd32 images,
and maybe one for the forthcomming laserdisk images whatever format they appear in ?

at the moment there is just four things to scan - sets,roms,samples and diskimages.

You're wrong. There is sets, roms, samples and chds.
And chds (compressed hunks of data) covers everything you've mentioned....laserdiscs, cd/hd images, etc...etc..
if your cmpro show 'diskimages' instead of 'chd', you should update to the latest version which is 3.99.
