It seems this one hasn't been reported yet.

When using "About->Update->Check Now", sometimes I get an error message "version is used by a different program!". Is it a bug or is it my environment?

Thanks

Looks like a different program on your PC locks the access to the version file which is downloaded when the update is performed. It's a small file which will be downloaded to cmpro's temp folder and then it's being read by the application.

So maybe some firewall, virusscanner, antispy tool is accessing the file at that moment (since it's been downloaded right before).

Thanks. It's indeed the case. After disabling "Avira AntiVir Guard" this problem no longer happens. The other symptom mentioned in another post disappeared too.

hmm..weird. I got a machine with AntiVir installed, too and it causes no issues at all.
