SubjectWhy wont CLRMAMEPRO update my list? new Reply to this message

I used CLRMAMEPRO to scan my ROM directory. I scanned it the first time just to get a baseline. The second time I clicked the "FIX" button and it 'looked' like it was updating my ROM list. When I launched MAME32 (v0.90u1) my game list looked the same, albeit the file directory size was smaller but clicking on any of the games gave me the typical "missing files" error message. Am I doing something wrong???

I will paypal $20 to the first person who provides a solution (hopefully Roman). Thanks!

Well...first of all...you hopefully used your old MAME32 (0.90u1) version in the profiler to get the data from.
If cmpro shows no more issues after the fix run, you're done...for the selection options.

This means: If you e.g. have nodump handling 'hide missing' enabled, cmpro won't list missing nodump roms in the list but MAME32 will probably moan about them.

Same for completely missing sets. You can hide those with scanner's popupmenu option View->show all missing sets.

Another possibility is that you only enabled some sets. Usually you can see this in the window title like "1234/6543 sets" or something. In Scanner's set information window you can enable all.

So...

- as datasource, use the mame32 version you want to use later
- be sure all sets are enabled, you don't hide nodump files and you show all missing sets
- then do a full (fix) scan

When this doesn't show any issue, go back to MAME32 and hit F5 to refresh MAME32's game list.
