Why should it create subfolders?
The rebuilder follows the standard storing methods for sets:

destination\setname\file 1...file n for decompressed sets and
destination\setname.zip for compressed sets.

If the datfile supports setsubfolders you find them in the zipfile, or -in case you don't create compressed sets- in the normal folder structure.

There are 2 other possible options to create subfolders.
One is to use "rebuildto" tags in the datfile and the other is to use rebuilder advance option "dest prestring".

If you use the batchrun, the profile's set destination folder is used as long as you don't overwrite it with the batch-run destination options.

Well im not talking about MAME sets so i need subfolders...but i think this info helps:If you use the batchrun, the profile's set destination folder is used as long as you don't overwrite it with the batch-run destination options.

thanks

And again...why do you expect that it should create subfolders?

The main rebuilder rule (for ALL profiles) is:
destinationpath\setname\file 1 ... file n (for decompressed rebuilder output)
and
destinationpath\setname.zip for compressed rebuilder output)

For additional folderstructures you got the following options:

- "rebuildto" tags are listed in the used datfile. If you don't ignore them (rebuilder option), these are used as subfolders before the 'setname'.

- setsubfolders are listed in the used datfile. In this case , the rebuilder automatically creates the setsubfolders for you or you get them constructed in the zipfile.

- destination prestring (rebuilder advanced). You can setup any prestring (including \ charactes for paths) which are put in front of the setname.

Maybe you should tell me what you expect and I will tell you why this won't work 8)

AFAIK he needs this to rebuild TOSEC sets.

Yeah, but people should keep in mind that the rebuilder rebuilds in its set destination folder. And all the rest I listed in my other posts. Tosec is a collection of dats, so batch run is a fine thing to use. He should also use the automatic rompath creation feature from the Batcher. By default the rebuilder destination points to the 1st rompath.

So he needs a well structured tosec profile collection generated from a well structured tosec datfile collection...
