In regards to "unneeded" files. I downloaded the dat files from Logiqx, which means I presume that they included the chd information as well - if I'm wrong, then I am blind.

If these chd files are marked unneeded, does that necessarily make these files unusable? I know unlike roms, there shouldnt be that many variations of chd files out there so I'm confused how the files are either misscanned or incorrect.
