I've currently got my .chd's in .\harddrv but I know they should be in .\roms\chdname\

How do I get clrmamepro to rebuild them into the correct place?

First you should disable the options to allow chds in a rompath root folder (scanner advanced). You can try to simply put them to one valid rompath subfolder of any game....
Scanner chd+name+fix name should then pick them up and rename them correctly.

Thanks Roman, but that didn't work :(

All it did was ask me if I wanted to delete the unneeded disk image :(

Do I have to manually create the directories for every game?

Normally if you put them in a rompath subfolder (with any valid setname) it should tell you that it's wrong placed and should move it to the correct place....iirc....

edit: just checked it. I guess there's something's wrong with the described way...will work on it...

Can't ask for more than that :)

Thanks Roman

Hmm..it worked in the past:

clrmamepro 3.99c (28-Mar-2007)
* added: set/chd + fix unneeded check will automatically move wrong placed chds

Guess I need some time to find out why it doesn't do that anymore :o)

ok...it still works:

- put your chds in a rompath root folder
- disable scanner advanced->allow chd in rompath root
- keep at least set + chd + unneeded + name + corresponding fix options enabled and run the scan.

If the fix options aren't enabled, you won't see any message (that will be fixed in a future version) and nothing happens.
