Hello, I've just used cmpro for the first time in some time. I've downloaded the programme and started it off. All seems fine till it reaches airraiders (think that's the ROM name) and the whole programme locks up with an "not responding" windows message.
I've using mame117b commandline version, my roms and chds are on external harddrives and my OS is Vista. I'm using a new Acer laptop. Can anyone advise Thanks.

a) be sure you're using cmpro 3.102b
b) be sure no background task is interfearing (e.g. some virusscanners really like to interfear when accessing zipfiles)
c) Depending on your settings some checks and fixes CAN take long. Some shouldn't been enabled for MAME scans
d) Send me some screenshots, e.g. what does the title of the scan results show...

Personally I don't think it freezed, I think it fixes something. What you can try is to turn off all fix options and run a scan.

...and under Vista, be sure to run it as administrator (and most likely from a not UAC controlled path, i.e. NOT from c:\program files)
