Subjectmissing bios file Reply to this message

Google seems to find many clrmamepro entries for missing bios files. Unfortunatly I don't see a thread with my particular problem. I'm pretty sure I've figured this out before, but cannot remember how I did it.

Problem : Clrmamepro reports missing bios file, but does not identify which one.

Mame32 audit roms reports that the Primrag2.chd is missing. (It's not). Clrmamepro is not flagging the roms, chd or the bios file.

I redownloaded the AtariPSX bios files, re-tried. No change.

I'm not sure if the problems are related. Basically I'd just like to know which bios set is missing the rom.

I'm sorry if this is the 8 billionth time you've answered this question. I tried for over an hour to find a thread that explained this.

Thank you for all the hours of my life you've already saved.

It surely does and lists the name in its very detail. Be sure that all sets (set information window) and systems (system button) are enabled and you don't hide completely missing sets (scanner popupmenu function view->)

MAME32's auditing functions are broken for ages.

Thank you.

However now that I have the answer, I'm even more confused.

The missing bios report is

Multi Amenity Cassette System 2 BIOS [system: Multi Amenity Cassette System 2 BIOS - folder: mac2bios - size: 1mb]
missing biosset: Multi Amenity Cassette System 2 BIOS
missing BIOS rom: macs2os_h.bin [size: 524288] [CRC32: 00000000]
missing 'nodump' BIOS rom: macs2os_l.bin [size: 524288] [CRC32: 00000000]

The file is there, and the roms are inside???

You better recheck if the file is there and contains the roms.

In this special case the set consists of 100% nodumps (no crc32 given), meaning they physically don't exist yet. So you may have placeholders only. In such a case, be sure that the spelling of the romnames is correct.

Another option could be that the zipfile is simply bad. You usually see a warning in the warnings window (docked below the scanner).

If you like you can send me the zipfile and I will have a look.

Rechecked, Clrmamepro is correct. Confused macsbios and mac2bios.

Thanks again
