Hi

Last CM version (3.103a) is more slow in rebuild section than 3.103 in crc32 selection even worst in md5/sha1. Then i noticed it's a memory leak about 13%/16% more than 3.103.

I've ran several tests like scanning mame with 3.103, 3.103a and a very fresh compile 5x in a row each (to avoid diskcaching effects) and they all take nearly exactly (+/- 1 second) the same time.
Memorywise there is a difference in usage when cmpro had to parse a datfile instead of loading a cache file only but that's known and has nothing to do with a memoryleak or something. Nor it has an impact on scanning speed.

Besides the only changes from 3.103 to 3.103a were xml parser import/export related and the rebuild after download feature. Nothing else changed.

Thx

You don't need to since there IS NO difference. A full MAME scan with disccache usage takes 13 seconds for 3.103 and 3.103a. Without it's both times again 1:13 minutes.

We tested it on several systems and on none was anything compareable to your results. I assume your system is somehow interfearing (e.g. virusscanners or simply disc cache differences).

No scanner, rebuilder or zipfile code has been changed.

it's not any slower/faster here, nor using more memory than it did before.
