You do not need to load a profile to update clrmamepro !
You can use the updater included in clrmamepro.
It's located in the about tab.
Set it to check for update every days.
Each times you will launch clrmamepro, fisrt time per days (and then before loading any profile), an update will be done automatically....
You can also use the check now button or choose the frequency want too.
