SubjectRemote Desktop and ClrMame new Reply to this message

Since the mame rom set has got much larger in the last few years I have been running clrmamepro on my server computer and using Remote Desktop to that computer from this one to basically free up this computer.
Lately clrmame starts out ok, while using Remote Desktop, with the Profiler Screen, I select a profile to load and it shows the Receiving Data loading bar just fine, but the Menu bar "Scanner Rebuilder, etc..." never shows up for some odd reason for me to continue. I can tell you that If I hook up a monitor to the server computer directly I have no problems. This leads me to the conclusion that it obviously isn't a clrmamepro problem, but a Remote desktop problem.

Other than the obvious "Don't use Remote Desktop" does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this?

Check the cmpro.ini settings (x/y/width/heigth) of the main window and reset them to something useful if necessary. Or check the hiding options mentioned in the crossover/wine user information on the download page.

For some odd reason the x/y setting were both -32000. I changed them both to 0 and all is well.

Thanks for your help.

I had the very same problem 1 week ago!
I thought it was some sort of mistake from my side, but 2 times in a week is more than an accasional glitch.

That's what you think 8)
I will check the window position routines again. BTW....which exact value was stored there -32000 or -32768 or something?

Weird. No idea how this -32000 can happen. Anyway...added a check for negative positions....will be included in the next update.
