Any chance of having an option to export it in the old format? It would be usefull for compatibility with older versions of datfiles managers.

Of course I could add such an option but I'm not really want to do so....The old format is deprecated. Logiqx and even Eric(Romcenter) will use the new xml format soon (besides the xml didn't really change and is in MAME since years). People should update their tools ;)

You are basically right, even if keeping compatibility with old format is a good policy, just to be on the safe side.
Beside, you already have the code needed for the task, it's simply a matter of adding a small toggle (or maybe you can even avoid the toggle, and "hide" it in a line of the cmpro.ini and only expert users will use it.)

of course the code to generate the old format is still in...it's simply a true/false switch....

time will tell if I add an option either visible or not. For this weekend, you won't see something like that ;)

Hi Roman
I am wondering what is the purpose of 'rebuild to' in set info.
Why it goes here ?, it's a rebuilder part...
what is it for ?

what is the difference between romof and cloneof ? I know it's a mame problem but i thought you could explain me.

At least, an idea of a feature, it's not a request... if you say no, i won't miss a lot. Well, what about the ability of emptying the download folder and the backup folder, for example, via right clic on profiler

It's part of a datfile description (as it is for years). You can define on set basis a prestring which is used during rebuilding. For example you can set rebuildto to "namco/mypacmanfiles" and roms of the set will be rebuild to rebuilderdestination/namco/mypacmanfiles/setname.

See above.

It's no problem. cloneof defines the parent set and romof points to either the biosset, the parent or to the set itself.

I made a note...

Ok Thanks.
It's more clear now.
