SubjectError with fix-dats and clrmamepro. new Reply to this message

Clrmamepro 3.112 is having problems with the new XML fix-dat files it creates. After adding the fix-dat, it doesn't show up under NEW DATFILES but the dat is copied to the datfiles directory.

I will do some follow up tests on monday. Most likely there was already an equally named (header tag) file in your list. As I said...I will have a look at it on monday.

All of my other dats were in listinfo format. I tried adding the fix-dat while the original was still listed in the PROFILES section. IIRC, this hadn't caused any problem for me before.

Tested it, works fine here, a created fixdat always appears as 'new datfile'.

You can try to send me your compressed cmpro folder and I will have a look.

What compression formats do you accept (i.e. 7-Zip, RAR, etc.)? I've tested this with different dats and have the error for both.

All common formats are fine (7zip, rar)...if the mailserver doesn't let them through, rename the file or -if it's too big- put it in a place where I can grab it.
Besides your cmpro folder, please send a file which doesn't work for you separately, so I can perfectly rebuild your setup.

Am also having this problem Roman! I tried a clean install to see if that would work but still no luck. Thanks for your great software which I use daily.

Try to minimize the numbers of used profiles and send me a compressed cmpro folder + a fixdat which don't work for you.

Found and fixed. Caused by a not initialized variable which results in a random behaviour. Worked for me, for you it didn't....fixed now.

Here is a zipped folder of clrmame (new install) and a fixdat (new xml format) in the datfiles folder.
