I'm having some issues with clrmame pro, and i have a hunch that i'm doing something wrong. I've tried the www supplied dat files, and i've set the ROM-Path to my dir w/ all my mame roms. These roms are individually zipped, without the chd's in them (I would like to merge them into the zips but lets do this one step at a time.)

Here's an idea of what i'm looking at. My directory structure is as follows:

F:\ROMS\Arcade\ = root folder.
F:\ROMS\Arcade\randomromx.zip = Each game in it's own zip file
F:\ROMS\Arcade\randomromx\randomromx.chd = CHD files for the above mentioned game.

I have set the "ROM-Path" setting to F:\ROMS\Arcade but i dont know what other settings i need...?

Ok, thus far, i've loaded the profile, set the ROM-Path, as stated above, then i select 'SCAN' from the 6 button toolbar.

On the scan window, i have selected both 'Sets' and 'ROMS' in the 'You want to scan' section. Non-Merged Sets is the only option i can pick under 'You Prefer'... Prompt me before fixing and show stats also = 1.

under the check/fix option, i have everything under 'check' selcted, and nothing under 'fix'. (i just want a result of the current state of things... i dont want to mess with anything yet.)

then i set the SysDefPath to F:\ROMS\Arcade\

i hit scan, and i get a message saying:

The following not empty rompaths dont contain any valid set
F:\ROMS\Arcade\

Either you selected worng paths or all sets have wrong names.
Recheck your settings or enable at least 'set' + 'name' check...

I say yes, and it spends a few seconds (I have a fast computer) testing and checking the files and then in the scan results window, every file it finds gets listed as an 'unneeded file'

then every set gets listed again stated as 'missing file(s)'...

I have no idea of what to do... Any suggestions?

The world wouldnt be the way it is today if we didnt have arcade machines.
