Sure. System default paths. Systems->assign a path for each system.

For rebuilder operations don't use a destination folder but enable the usage of system default paths, for scan operations, enable 3 Scanner->Advanced->*sysdefault* options

Yes, but doesn't this also put all sets for that system in that path?

oh wait...now I see what you want....
don't understand the need of separating the bios sets themselves but easiest would be manual I guess. I make a note to add another setinformation 'select sets' variable holding the isBios information...so you could enable only bios sets and rebuild them to a different folder for example...

sure. just add a directory with your BIOS sets to mame.ini and in cmp Settings.

i keep my BIOS sets separate from ROM sets.
