The old version of Cube Quest CHD (for MAME 0.127) is accepted for version 0.127u4 without being updated with chdman.

So what? The underlying laserdisk "image" hasn't changed and so the sha1/md5 values of the stored data didn't change. Only some AV metadata needs to be injected for MAME usage. Since this data metadata isn't hashed, all checks succeed.

...well..I could add a check which also checks the availability of AV metadata..but it's not that required. Upcoming ld chds will have it automatically and cubequest...well..people can update it on their own..

My MAME favorites

It's already working fine and I expect a release tonight.
It checks chds using a AV codec compression for the existance of some metadata tags and complains about it if they are missing. However it won't fix them..people should use chdman for that.
