Hello,

I know why you do not use the DLL zip32.dll-7 in place of 7z.exe program (which forces the user to install 7-Zip). Furthermore, this DLL is free (included with the sources) and have used, it can be used without distinction or ZIP 7Z (CMP scans could manage this format and not entirely on a rebuild.

Otherwise a question, the drag & drop in Vista is not terrible, a solution is under consideration?

Thank you in advance
Sorry for mu very bas english

In french :

Bonjour,

D'avance merci

1) I don't use the 7zip dll because there is no 64bit build and besides the 7z sdk in general is lousy documented. The usage of an external 7z packer is fine for now. The reader is built in in cmpro anyway.

2) Drag'n drop under Vista works perfectly fine. The problem with Vista is that it doesn't allow any drag'n drop operation if there is a user switch in between. For example you drag files as admin from a place to a place where you act as standard user.

You most likely installed cmpro into an UAC controlled folder (like c:\programs). Don't do this. Put it in a folder which isn't protected by Windows automatically and you're fine. Or if you don't want to change it, you have to run the cmpro exe as 'run as administrator'.

The sources of 7-zip32.dll being provided, the compilation in 64 bit is possible. And for a scan standard CMP does not support 7Z (which is the goal).

To drag and drop, CMP is a place which is not protected (F: \ ....) by UAC, and it is precisely the fact of having used CMP administrator mode that caused the problem to its application updated. Otherwise no directories has dragged privileges whatsoever to prevent the rebuild.

So what?

Donc quoi faire ?

Clrmamepro does support 7z scanning since ages internally. 7z write operations is support since some time as well, however it needs the external packer.

So what? You don't run and store cmpro correctly at the moment.
Drag'n drop works fine in Vista as in any other application if you remember the UAC rules which are active in Vista.

if this doesn't belong here, I apologize but there is a problem (I believe with 7-zip NOT cmpro) where you cannot drag-and-drop files from a 7-zip File Manager window into cmpro. You cannot drag and drop a .dat file or "ROMs". If you attempt to drag-and-drop a .dat file, it will appear to work until you try and find the .dat file in the cmpro dat file browser.

Correct. I will check this. I could imagine that the 7z application locks the temporary file or something.
I will have a look what exactly happens here.

ok I checked it

Looks like the 7z gui application is a bad as the SDK ;)
If you drag a file from the application to another application, the file is depacked to %temp%\7zEA44A.tmp\ (or similar). The problem is, 7z seems to directly remove it from there before the other application accesses it.
